Reference Verification Service

Purpose of the Service

The Reference Verification Service ensures that the references provided in manuscripts are accurate, consistent, and compliant with the required standards, thereby strengthening the links in the chain of scientific communication.

Scientific Contribution and Importance

A manuscript’s reference list demonstrates the foundations on which the study is built and how it is positioned within the existing literature. Therefore, it is essential to verify that each reference contains accurate information and is cited correctly within the text.

Implementation and Process

Our goal is to detect errors in reference lists (such as missing details, incorrect author names, wrong years, page numbers, etc.) prior to publication, confirm that references are formatted according to the required style guidelines, and, where possible, enrich each reference with a persistent identifier such as a DOI or URL to ensure a robust and reliable scholarly network.
