About the Journal

Turkish Journal of Surgery (Turk J Surg) is the official, peer-reviewed, open-access publication of the Turkish Surgical Society and Turkish surgical community. The journal, which targets general surgeons and the associated sub-specialties, has been published since 1991 and is one of the longest periodical publications in the field of general surgery. It is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December, and its publication language is English. Each issue features original clinical or laboratory studies and clinical reports. Peer-reviewed articles cover topics in surgical science and practice represented by observational studies, randomized prospective trials, "How do I do it?" sections, scientific letters, meta-analyses, original articles, and essential review articles.
