About the Journal

Journal of the Turkish Academy of Dermatology (JTAD) is an open access periodical published in accordance with unbiased and double-blinded peer-review principles. The journal is the official online publication of Society of Academy of Cosmetology and Dermatology, and it is published four times a year in March, June, September and December. The publication language of the journal is English. JTAD aims to contribute to the literature by publishing articles in the fields of dermatology, dermatopathology, dermoscopy, venereology and cosmetology. Original articles, case reports, reviews and letters to the editor prepared in accordance with ethical rules are published in the journal. All articles are reviewed by the editor, department co-editors, and at least two external (not from the author's institution) expert referees. Submitted manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review. Referees are selected from national and international experts in the relevant research field. The editorial and publication processes of the journal are shaped in accordance with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and National Information Standards Organization (NISO). The journal conforms with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (doaj.org/bestpractice).
